Joomla is a free and open source management system to make a website. It can be used to build whether external or intranet website as well as personal homepages. This software is very useful for all-level web developers to edit and develop their website content. Because Joomla does not take any charge, it receives donations and sponsors.

Founded in 2005, Joomla relies on the users to develop the software. They can easily become developer because of the open system so they have access to it. They also can be volunteers to submit templates, become member on working group, and others.

To operate Joomla, people does not need to have many experiences because the templates will help those people to manage their website. For the high-level developer, they can experiment their website based on their style and need. They can add various plugins, such as calendar and map. Joomla provides complete system that can manage the website content including music, videos, photos, and others using Media Management. Other features that users can use to improve their website are track click, RSS Feeds, and Banner Manager to manage campaign.
